4 Interesting Rules of ISPL T10

  • 50-50 ISPL Overs: There is only one 50-50 overs between 5 to 10 overs. Batsmen can challenge any bowler from the fielding side for minimum 16 runs. The nominated bowler should not be the U19 bowler. If batting team successfully completes the challenge of scoring minimum 16 runs in 50 50 over, then extra half runs (i.e 16/2) will be added to the scoreboard. And If batting team is not able to complete the challenge of scoring minimum 16 runs in 50 50 over, then extra half runs (i.e 16/2) will be deducted from the scoreboard.
  • 9 Street Runs: This is very popular rule of ISPL T10 League. If batsman hit long distance lofted shot and ball crosses the green fence, then the batsman shall be awarded 9 runs. This rule gives advantage to the batsmen who are able to hit powerful shots.
  • Tip Top Toss: This is the new method of doing the toss which is generally used in the street or gully cricket. Tip Top toss was introduced to give the feel of street cricket in the stadium. This is very different form the conventional coin toss. Here captains walk in the Tip Top fashion to decide the winner of the toss. At the end the captain whose foot overlaps at the top of the foot of another captain wins the toss.
  • Tape Ball Overs: There should be minimum 1 tape ball over and maximum 2 tape ball overs in one inning. Tape ball is the tennis ball itself which is wrapped by electrical tape on the half side of the ball. Tape ball has extra weight on one side of the ball, hence it swings towards the tape side in the air. This swing gives extra advantage to the bowlers.
