Virat Kohli was one of the 7000 persons invited for the Ram Mandir consecration (Pran Prathishtha) in Ayodhya on 22nd January 2024. Sachin Tendulkar, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir were also invited for the same.
Virat Kohli along with his wife Anushka Sharma have donated the amount of 20 crore rupees for the Ayodhya Ram Mandir. Apart from them Dhoni donated 5 crore rupees, Sachin donated 3 crore rupees, and Gambhir donated 1 crore rupees. These were big donations by Indian cricketers for the Ram Mandir.
Virat Kohli Donation for Covid – 19 | 2020 Pandemic
Along with his wife Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli donated for the Covid 19 Pandemic to fight corona virus. He donated to PM Cares Fund and Maharashtra CM Relief Fund. As per the news, Virat and Anushka donated 2 crore rupees for the covid 19 relief funds. Also, they were seen to urge other people to donate so that country could fight the deadly pandemic.
For the same cause Akshay Kumar also donated 25 crore rupees which was the highest donation by any famous celebrity for the covid 19 relief.
In her twitter(X) account, Anushka Sharma wrote that “Our hearts are breaking looking at the suffering of so many and we hope our contribution (Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma), in some way, helps easing the pain of our fellow citizens.
Virat Kohli Donation for Train Accident
Virat Kohli donated a very big amount of 30 crore rupees for the Balasore Orissa train accident 2023. He said that he is donating this amount as an Indian citizen and not as an Indian cricketer. He also urged every citizens of the country to pray for the victims of this catastrophic train accident.
